I was fooling around with my yarn and come up with this cute pattern. Rib stitch and stockinette stitch (I began with the latter).I wasn't keeping count with how many rows I was doing for each but if you do it just try to keep it about the same for each part (whether you make you rib st longer than mine or not doesn't matter, etc.) because then it wont look as nice.
If I'm not making any sense: let's say I did 10 rows of rib st and then 12 of stockinette st, keep going with the same numbers until you got it to the length you want.
My only set back was not making a border so the sides didn't curl in.
